On Nov. 8, 2025, at about 11:05 a.m., two joggers were threatened along N. Kalāheo Avenue near Pueohala Place in Kailua. The male suspect, driving a white pickup truck, reportedly yelled at the victims, turned his vehicle around, and drove back toward them while waving a machete out of his window and threatening to kill them.

Patrol officers quickly located the 39-year-old suspect and arrested him for Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree. 

No injuries were reported.
