On February 15, 2026, at about 1:35 p.m., Honolulu Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Kipu Place in Hawai’i Kai.
A 25-year-old male suspect allegedly pulled out a handgun during an argument and threatened a 19-year-old male. A struggle ensued outside the residence, during which one round was discharged into the air. No injuries were reported.
Friends at the scene subdued the suspect and secured the firearm until officers arrived. The suspect was arrested and transported to the hospital for injuries sustained during the struggle.
The investigation is ongoing.
