On March 5, 2026, District 7 Patrol Officers were initially sent to investigate an unattended death at an apartment located on Fern Street. The case was later reclassified to a Murder in the Second Degree.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers and EMS responded to the residence where a 53-year-old female was found unresponsive.
During the investigation, it was determined that the female had sustained multiple stab wounds and defensive injuries.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
