On March 24, 2026, at approximately 9:33 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Mokulama Street and Makakalo Street in Waimānalo.

A witness reported seeing a white utility-type truck traveling on the roadway, with an unknown male in the passenger seat holding what appeared to be a black handgun out of the window. The male discharged a round toward the ground before the vehicle continued driving away.

Officers searched the area and recovered one shell casing. No injuries were reported.
