On March 5, 2026, prior to 3:42 p.m., Honolulu Police Department officers responded to a report of an argument at a residence on Hulukupuna Street in Waipio.
During the incident, a 44-year-old male suspect reportedly broke a mirrored glass door, causing injuries to a 66-year-old male and threatened a 54-year-old female witness with a shard of glass not allowing them to leave the room.
As officers attempted to resolve the situation, the suspect fled by jumping from the balcony of the apartment building.
The male was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation remains ongoing.
