On April 11, 2026, Honolulu Police responded to two attempted murder incidents involving the same vehicle.
At approximately 5:19 p.m., a 46-year-old male riding a bicycle was intentionally struck by a vehicle on Kuwili Street in Kalihi. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
About 12 minutes later, at approximately 5:31 p.m., the same vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Hotel Street and Alakea Street, colliding with another vehicle and striking a pedestrian.
A 54-year-old male driver and a 37-year-old female pedestrian were also injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The suspect, a 35-year-old male, was located and arrested for the Hotel Street incident. Charges will be sought with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.
