On Nov. 20, 2025, at approximately 2:22 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing fronting the Pūnāwai Rest Stop on Kūwili Street. A 53-year-old male victim suffered a stab wound and was taken to the hospital.
A witness followed the suspect as he fled and District 5 Crime Reduction Unit officers quickly detained the male. The suspect, a 38-year-old man, was arrested for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.
