Last night, the Honolulu Police Department held an orientation for the 217th Recruit Class and their families. They had the opportunity to meet HPD leadership, along with the various commanders and officers who will be working with the recruits over the coming months.
Guests were guided through demonstrations and invited to participate in activities showcasing the areas where the recruits will train and become proficient. These included the use of firearms, conducted electrical weapons, control and arrest tactics, and emergency vehicle operations.
Recruits will be leaning on their loved ones for support throughout the months ahead. We welcome the 217th Recruits and their ‘ohana.
