The District 4 Community Policing Team recently organized and carried out a community outreach initiative focused on supporting families in need, as school is back in session this week. As part of this effort, officers distributed school supplies and backpacks to the shelters in Waimānalo and Kahaluʻu, helping to ensure that children are better equipped for academic success.
This initiative reflects District 4’s and the department’s ongoing commitment to building positive relationships within the community and addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.
The Honolulu Police Department and District 4 extend our sincere appreciation to Honolulu City Councilmember Esther Kiaʻaina for her presence and continued support, which underscores the importance of collaboration between community leaders and public safety personnel in serving our residents.
