Update: CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying a male who was wanted for Sexual Assault in the First Degree.
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, at approximately 6:14 p.m., HPD police officers placed a 25-year-old male under arrest for Attempted Sexual Assault in the First Degree and Robbery in the Second Degree in the Kailua area. This incident occurred on Monday, June 3, 2024, on Diamond Head Beach in Kahala.

On Monday, June 3, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the victim was walking alone on Diamond Head Beach heading towards Kahala when she observed an unknown male following her closely. The male grabbed her from behind and threw her onto the ground and attempted to sexually assault her and attempted to steal her fanny pack. The male then fled on the beach towards Waikiki.
