UPDATE 06/28/21: The 33-year-old male arrested on Friday in connection with the sexual assault of a 71-year-old female has been charged with five counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of first-degree burglary. $250,000 bail.

On Friday, June 25, 2021, at approximately 10:30 a.m., HPD detectives arrested a 33-year-old male for three counts of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree burglary. The arrest occurred in the Downtown Honolulu area and charges are pending.

On Monday, June 21, 2021 at approximately 7 p.m., the victim was inside of her apartment on Phillip Street when a male knocked on her door. When the victim opened the door, the male forced his way in and sexually assaulted the victim.
