The program, Mālama Ko Aloha, was inspired by the creative input of 6th-grade students from Kapolei Middle School and focuses on bullying prevention. Officers from District 8’s Community Policing Team have been actively mentoring students at Kapolei Middle School, Nānākuli Elementary, and Māʻili Elementary.
Today, these officers visited Kapolei Middle School to discuss bullying prevention and other important topics, fostering a safe environment for students to express themselves openly. These conversations have encouraged students to seek help and share their experiences.
This initiative highlights the vital role community policing plays in creating safer, more inclusive environments for our youth.
