On November 28, 2025, just after 12:30 a.m., District 5 officers responded to a disturbance on Matzie Lane in Kalihi involving a 31-year-old male. When officers approached, the male became combative. He pushed one HPD officer and then punched the other officer in the face, causing injuries.
The male was arrested for Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer in the First Degree and Harassment on a Law Enforcement Officer.
The injured officer was treated at the hospital and later released in good condition.
