On Nov. 8, 2025, at approximately 12:21 a.m., District 6 patrol officers responded to an assault fronting the Waikīkī Beachside Hostel on Lemon Road.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 50-year-old male visitor was assaulted by a 43-year-old male suspect without provocation. The victim sustained severe head injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The suspect was arrested for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.
On November 12, 2025 at approximately 8:56 PM the 50-year-old victim in this case succumbed to his injuries and the pronouncement of his death was made..
This case has been reclassified to Murder in the Second Degree.
