The Honolulu Police Department was notified by the Medical Examiner’s Office Sunday morning on Nov. 9, 2025, that the body found in Waipiʻo was positively identified as 55-year-old Jonnaven Monalim.

Monalim was reported missing by his loved ones on Nov. 5, 2025. 

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. The Homicide Detail is actively investigating this case. No additional details will be released at this time.
