District 3’s Officer of the Quarter Award goes to Officer Angi Sakamoto for her superior work performance and contributions to District 3 as a Patrol Officer. Officer Sakamoto has consistently been one of District 3’s hardest workers, maintaining this level of dedication despite the district having one of the highest caseloads within the Honolulu Police Department.
Officer Sakamoto willingly and enthusiastically accepts assignments from supervisors. Her attendance record is impeccable, and she regularly volunteers for additional training. Officer Sakamoto is an entrusted Field Training Officer (FTO) and never hesitates or turns down a Field Training and Evaluation Program (FTEP) opportunity when asked.
This District 3 Officer of the Quarter Award covers the period from April 1, 2025, through June 30, 2025. During this period, Officer Sakamoto has completed approximately 50 written reports, 150 service cases, 20 motor vehicle collision reports, 29 issued citations, and 6 arrests. She has accomplished all this with a positive attitude appreciated by her superiors, peers, and the public she serves.
Even with Officer Angi Sakamoto’s heavy caseload, she serves the public with care, empathy, and the utmost professionalism. Her daily performance sets an example for both junior and senior officers to follow.
