Mom who delivers baby on freeway meets officers
A special meeting took place outside the main HPD station on Beretania Street Wednesday afternoon. The Waipahu woman who delivered her baby on the side of the freeway got to say thank you to the three HPD solo bike officers who helped. Tiera Tamayo also brought along her husband Mardy, their six-year-old daughter Zaeysha and their newborn Zahnyssa.
Tiera and her husband, were heading to the hospital and got stuck in the rush-hour traffic on the H-1 freeway a couple weeks ago. Solo bike officers, Stephen Keogh, Kirk Brown and Grant Robello happened to be at the right place at the right time. The three worked together and helped in the successful delivery of the baby girl.
