Safer Roads Operations by Patrol Districts

District 1

On April 22, D1 officers conducted an operation from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. 8 citations were issued of which 5 were for speeding, 1 disregarding stop sign, 1 passenger prohibited on moped, and 1 for driving without license.

District 3

On April 28, 2013 an operations was conducted within the Pearl City area during first watch hours. 9 citations were issued of which 4 were for speeding, 1 DWOL, and 4 for moving. There were also 3 arrests of which 2 were for OVUII and 1 for an outstanding warrant.

District 4

On April 25, 2013 District 4 conducted multiple operations throughout the day from Kailua to Kahaluu. 16 citations were issued of which 3 were for cell phone, 2 no seat belt, 2 excessive speeding, 6 moving and 3 speeding citations. There was also 1 arrest for OVUII (DUI).

District 5

On Saturday April 20, D5 conducted a Safer Roads operation at various locations within the district from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. 23 citations were issued of which 7 were for speeding 2 hazardous, 5 mobile electronic device, and 9 miscellaneous citations.

Also on the 20th D5 conducted an operation at the H-1 and Pali Hwy from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. 25 citations were issues of which 20 were for speeding, 1 occupant protection, 1 OVUII and 4 miscellaneous citations.

On Saturday April 20, D5 conducted a Safer Roads operation at the H-1 and Pali Hwy from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. 29 citations were issues of which 20 were for speeding, 1 occupant protection, 2 hazardous, 1 mobile electronic device, and 4 miscellaneous. There was also 1 arrest as one of the officers conducting the operation assist in the apprehension of the burglary suspect at the Philippine Consulate.

On April 28, 2013 an operation was conducted of the freeway areas within the Kalihi District from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. A total of 25 citations were issued of which 16 were for speeding, 1 excessive speeding, 5 hazardous, and 3 miscellaneous violations.

District 6

On April 22 District 6 conducted a Safer Roads operation at Ala Wai Blvd & Seaside Avenue from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 11 citations were issued for mobile electronic device.

On April 26 an operation was conducted at Ala Wai Blvd. & Kaiolu St. from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. 8 mobile electronic device citations were issued during this operation.


Also on April 26 an operation was conducted at Kuhio Ave. & Kalakaua Ave from 12:15 a.m. to 4:15 a.m. 21 jaywalking citations were issued during this operation.
