On October 24, officers from the District 8 Community Policing Team joined Nānākuli High and Intermediate School students and staff for their SHINE Day initiative. The message for October was “Unity Draws a Community Together,” in observance of Unity Day, which focuses on bullying prevention by uniting in aloha. They waved signs and handed out snacks with encouraging messages like “Unity, kindness, love. It all matters.” Building stronger communities together.
