Kerry Yoshida | Deputy Communications Director

Kerry brings more than 20 years of broadcast and media experience to his role at the Honolulu Police Department. Having worked closely with local television newsrooms, he understands many of their needs and aims to foster positive relationships between HPD and our media partners. He also hopes to unify and bolster HPD’s physical and digital presence through his work in marketing and branding.

Lance Aquino brings more than a decade of strategic communications experience to his role. With a strong foundation in local media relations, he has helped organizations across Hawai‘i’s key sectors navigate crisis communications scenarios with clarity and confidence. Born and raised on O‘ahu, he is committed to serving his community by delivering timely, transparent, and actionable information when it matters most.

Jocelyn Oshiro is a skilled communications professional with experience in the public, nonprofit, and higher education sectors. Specializing in digital marketing and social media strategy, she hopes to strengthen community relations and support public safety through content creation and campaign development.

Noreen Reimel | Information Specialist

Noreen Reimel is a strategic communications leader with more than 25 years of experience in public affairs and media relations across corporate, government and nonprofit sectors. Her work centers on brand management, stakeholder engagement and policy strategy and support. With a background in broadcast journalism, Noreen is looking to enhance HPD’s presence through storytelling and messaging.

Major Parker Bode | Chief’s Office / Legislative Liaison Office / Spokesperson

Major Bode has 15 years of service with the Honolulu Police Department. Since joining HPD in 2010, he has served in Districts 4, 5, and 7, as well as the Human Resources Division, Training Division, and Criminal Investigation Division. He currently serves as Interim Chief Vanic’s Chief of Staff acting as the Legislative Liaison and as HPD spokesperson.
