National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, April 13-19, 2025

April 13, 2025

Today marks the start of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. The Honolulu Police Department proudly recognizes our Emergency Response Operators and Police Communications Officers in the Communications Division, as well as the Radio Technicians and Radio Mechanics in the Telecommunications Systems Section. Their behind-the-scenes work—answering calls, dispatching officers, and maintaining police radios—is essential to every 911 response. Join us in honoring and thanking them. #HonoluluPD
