On Friday, June 26, 2026, at approximately 6:25 p.m., District 5 patrol officers responded to a stabbing in the area of Bannister Street in Kailihi. The investigation determined that a 24-year-old male and the suspect were involved in an argument. The argument escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect has not been located. He is described as a Micronesian male, wearing a yellow sweater, about six feet tall, medium build with black hair and a medium complexion.
