Recently, high school and college students from the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group Summer Program visited the Honolulu Police Department’s Scientific Investigation Section. They toured the DNA lab, drug lab, and crime scene unit, where they saw how forensic experts work. The students also took part in a hands-on activity to develop and compare fingerprints, giving them a glimpse into the job of a latent print examiner.
