Traffic Fatality

On Friday, September 13, 2024, at approximately 8:45 a.m., Unit 1, driver was parked briefly on Kaukama Road facing westbound, in the right shoulder. Unit 1, entered Kaukama Road when the traffic was clear. At the same time, Unit 2, pedestrian was walking on Kaukama Road, outside of the boundaries of the intersection. Unit 1 did not see Unit 2, in the middle of the roadway, and a collision occurred. Unit 2, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Unit 1, was not injured from the collision. Unit 2, later succumbed to his injuries sustained and passed away at the hospital.
