Collisions Involving Substantial Bodily Injury Suspect

On Sunday, August 14, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a 2023 black Zhong moped, was traveling westbound on Paki Avenue. As the moped traveled towards the Kapahulu Avenue intersection, a gray Nissan SUV with unknown license plates, suddenly switched lanes in front of the moped, which caused its operator to lose control and fall onto the roadway. After the collision, the gray Nissan SUV did not stop and continued traveling westbound on Paki Avenue without providing any information or rendering aid. As a result of the collision, the moped operator sustained substantial bodily injuries.

Any witnesses to this collision are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
