On Saturday, July 27, 2024, at approximately 11:35 a.m., Unit 2, a gold Honda Pilot, made a left turn into the driveway of the Lilia Waikiki Apartments. Unit 2 then proceeded to reverse back onto Kanekapolei Street to park in an available stall on the street. As Unit 2 is reversing, it collides into Unit 1, a vehicle who is traveling westbound on Kanekapolei Street.

Unit 1 was only described as a black Tundra truck with an unknown driver. Unit 1 leaves the scene without providing information or rendering aid. Any information as to the identification of the black Tundra or the driver is asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
