Collisions Involving Bodily Injury
On Friday, October 21, 2022, at approximately 9:52 a.m., a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling northbound on Kamehameha Highway, passing Waimea Valley Road. A newer model charcoal Chevrolet Camaro proceeded to make a left turn from Waimea Valley Road onto Kamehameha Highway and collided with the driver’s side rear tire of the Silverado pickup. The driver of the Camaro related that they should pull over into Waimea Beach Park to exchange information. The driver of the Camaro instead left the scene of the incident without exchanging information or rendering aid. Any information as to the identification of the male or the Chevrolet Camaro are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECT – Unknown Caucasian male, 30s, 5’6″ to 5’8″, slim build, short/neat brown hair, brown facial hair, fair complexion, Brazilian/Latin American accent, wearing a white/orange polo shirt.
DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECT VEHICLE – charcoal gray Chevrolet Camaro, “Newer model”
