Negligent Homicide

On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at approximately 5:40 p.m., a white Honda Civic, was traveling southbound on Kamehameha Highway. At approximately 585 feet south of Achiu Lane, the white Honda Civic rear-ended a Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by a male accompanied by a female passenger. The initial impact caused the occupants of the Harley Davidson motorcycle to be ejected and their vehicle to rear-end, a white Dodge Caravan.

Following the initial impact, the white Honda Civic struck the female passenger of the motorcycle and veered of the roadway onto the right shoulder before coming to final rest.

As a result of the collision, the female was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in “Critical” condition and later succumbed to her injuries. Witnesses to this collision are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
