Collisions Involving Death or Serious Bodily Injury

On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at approximately 8:05 p.m., a light colored Toyota Sienna van, was traveling eastbound on Kapiolani Boulevard. At approximately 300 feet east of Keeaumoku Street, the light colored Toyota Sienna van collided with a bicyclist who was travelling eastbound on Kapiolani Boulevard. The driver of light colored Toyota Sienna van fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

As a result of the collision, the bicyclist was taken to the Queen Medical Center in critical condition and upgraded to Serious. Any witnesses to this collision are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
