Accidents Involving Substantial Bodily Injury
On Friday, March 18, 2022, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a female pedestrian was walking in the parking lot of Hawaii Kai Towne Center towards Ross Dress for Less. A sliver Toyota driven by an elderly Asian female stopped to allow the pedestrian to cross the lane fronting the store. While the pedestrian was in the handicap stall loading area, the Toyota attempted to pull into the same stall, struck the female causing her to fall to the ground, and was observed underneath the vehicle. The female driver of the Toyota reversed and fled out of the parking lot. Any information as to the identification of the female driver or the silver Toyota vehicle are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
