Collisions Involving Damage to Vehicle or Property
On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at approximately 1:50 p.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred fronting 801 Kaheka Street, involving a green moped and a gray van. The gray van stopped for a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk when it was rear-ended by the moped. The van sustained only minor damages and no injuries as a result of the collision. The moped operator suffered minor injuries and damages to the moped. The moped operator fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival without providing information. Anyone with information as to the identification of the male are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide.
DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECT – Unknown Caucasian male, 40s to 50s, 5’4″, heavy build, tan complexion, tattoo on back shoulder blade and chest area, wearing a brown cargo shorts, no shirt and black shoes.
