Accidents Involving Bodily Injury Suspect

On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at about 5:10 p.m., a white SUV was traveling eastbound on the H-1 Freeway. As this vehicle took the Dillingham Boulevard off-ramp, its operator made a last minute lane change and crossed a “painted medial strip” and into the path of a white, 1993, Mazda Miata. As the Mazda vehicle attempted to avoid a collision, it subsequently struck a white, 2021, Toyota, Venza. The initial impact caused the Toyota vehicle to lose control and struck the right side guardrail. As a result of the collision, the operator of the Toyota sustained bodily injuries and the operator of the white unknown vehicle left the scene without rendering aid. Witnesses to this collision are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
