Accidents Involving Substantial Bodily Injury
On Saturday, June 5, 2021, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 2004 gray Nissan Armada traveling westbound on the Moanalua Freeway approached the Ahua Street overpass and collided with a 2018 brown Mitsubihi Outlander to flip over the center median and overturn onto the eastbound lanes of the freeway. The operator of the Outlander sustained substantial bodily injuries as a result of this collision and the operator of the Armada fled the scene on foot without rendering aid to the other driver. Witnesses to this collision are asked to call the Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section.
PERSON OF INTEREST – Polynesian male, 40s, 5’6″ to 6’0″, 180 to 240 lbs., muscular build, medium length curly brown hair, brown eyes, brown complexion, wearing a blue polo shirt and long black jeans.
