Multiple Gambling Busts in Kalihi: 50 Machines, Illicit Drugs and Cash Seized

On October 20, 2025, HPD officers from the Narcotics Vice Division, assisted by the District 4 and District 5 Crime Reduction Units and the Specialized Services Division, executed a search warrant at an illegal gambling room on Puʻuhale Road in Kalihi. During the search, officers recovered a stolen firearm, 12 gambling machines, illicit drugs, and over $6,000 in cash.

Meanwhile, at a different location on the same day, HPD officers from the same divisions executed another search warrant at an illegal gambling room on Makuahine Street in Kalihi. During this operation, officers recovered two loaded ghost guns, 26 gambling machines, illicit drugs, over $14,000 in cash, and arrested one adult male for Criminal Contempt of Court (warrant).

Subsequently, on October 22, 2025, HPD officers from the Narcotics Vice Division, with assistance from the District 5 Crime Reduction Unit and the Specialized Services Division, executed a search warrant at an illegal gambling room on Kahaha Street in Kalihi. During this search, officers recovered 12 gambling machines, illicit drugs, and over $4,000 in cash.
