Incident on Pearl City roadway leads to arrest

A 23-year-old man informed HPD on-duty officers yesterday that another man struck his vehicle while he was operating it in the Pearl City area around 1:40 p.m.

The complainant said the suspect, who was also another motorist, got of his vehicle, confronted him to fight and then struck the vehicle with a wooden type of club, causing the glass to shatter.

The suspect went back into his vehicle and fled the scene. HPD officers conducted a follow-up investigation and found the suspect, a 33 year-old man, in Waipahu. The man was arrested for criminal property damage and terroristic threatening.
