Our Awesome Community Volunteers

District 1 "Project Clean"

On June 15 the District 1 Community Policing Team held their annual Project clean at Ala Moana Beach Park. A total of 59 Volunteers coming from community groups, Heald College Students, and Next Step Shelter came out and helped by painting park benches, the white 2 foot wall fronting the entire beach of Ala Moana beach as well as picking up trash Throughout the park.

Shred It Hawaii also participated and alowed each person to bring 1 box of paper goods to shred for free to help prevent Identity theft as well as recycle. Every additional box after that was $10 and all the proceeds go to Weed & Seed Honolulu to help fund future projects. Also T&N Recycling Services collected T.V.'s, Computers, Printers as well as toner cartridges and old cell phones so that these items don't get dumped at our trash sites and they get disposed of properly in a effort towards going green.
