On March 7, 2013 Traffic Division officers conducted a Safer Roads operation on Moanalua Rd. & H-1 Freeway on ramp from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 62 citations were issued of which 39 were for mobile electronic device, 22 seat belt and 1 for no insurance.
Officers from the Solo Bike Detail conducted a Street Racing Suppression operation on March 9, 2013 from midnight to 1:45 a.m. on the H-1 freeways within District 5, 3, & 8. Numerous citations were issued.
The Solo Bike Detail also conducted a Saturation Patrol of the area of Kaukonahua Rd., Kamehameha Hwy., & Farrington Hwy. from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The area was chosen to address community concerns and assist in prevention of serious and fatal accidents in the area.
On March 12, 2013 Traffic did an operation at Farrington Hwy. & Awalau St. from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. A total of 30 citations were issued of which 12 were for seat belt, 5 mobile device, 3 DWOL, 5 miscellaneous, 2 no insurance, and 2 for speeding.
On March 13, 2013, 56 citations were issued at Kamehameha Hwy. & Kaluamoi Pl. from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 41 were for Vehicle to stop for pedestrian in crosswalk, 3 seat belt, 8 mobile electronic device, 3 miscellaneous and 1 driving without license.
On March 8, 2013 District 1 officers conducted a Safer Roads operation within the district from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. 3 arrest reports were initiated of which 2 were for OVUII and 1 for driving with a revoked license. 12 citations were also issued of which 2 were for expired tax, 2 expires safety, 1 driving without license, 2 no fault insurance, 4 improper turn, and 1 for stop sign.
On March 11, 2013 District 1 officers also conducted an operation at S. King St. & Piikoi St. from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 12 citations were issued of which 2 were for permitting unlicensed to drive, 4 driving without license, 1 child seat, 2 no fault insurance, 2 mobile electronic device prohibited, 1 prohibited turn at intersection.
On March 13, 2013 9 citations were issued at Queen St. & Waimanu St. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 9 citations were issued of which 1 was for DWOL, 1 no fault insurance, 1 mobile electronic device, 1 expired tax, 1 expired safety and 4 for speeding.
On March 9, 2013 District 3 officers conducted a Safer Roads operation on Moanalua Rd. from the Kaahumanu St. intersection to the Aiea Heights Rd intersection and at the intersection of Kupuohi St. & Kupuna Lp. The operation was from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. There were 3 arrests for OVUII, Driving without license and for open container. There were also 22 citations issued of which 3 were for speeding, 2 driving without license, 5 insurance, 1 child restraint and 11 miscellaneous violations.
On March 13, 2013 District 3 officers issued 15 citations at Kamehameha Hwy. & Kuala St. 1 was for speeding, 11 miscellaneous, 2 no insurance and 1 mobile electronic device.
On March 14, 2013 11 citations were issued at Kamehameha Hwy. & Honomanu St. from midnight to 2 a.m. 7 were for speeding, 2 moving, 1 miscellaneous, and 1 park closure.
District 6 officers conducted a Safer Roads operation addressing mobile electronic devices in the area of Ala Wai Blvd from Ainakea Wy. to Kaiolu St. from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. 9 citations were issued.
On March 8, 2013 District 7 officers conducted a Safer Roads operation at H-1 Freeway & Kalanianaole Hwy/Analii St. from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. 14 citations were issued of which 12 were for HOV violations, 1 speeding violation and 1 for an expired safety violation.
On March 8, 2013 District 8 officers conducted a Safer Roads operation at Ft. Weaver Rd. & Kamalie as well as other areas throughout the district. The operation was from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. A total of 51 citations were issued of which 25 were for speeding, 17 miscellaneous, 6 moving and 3 for cell phone.
On March 13, 2013 a Safer Roads operation was done from Waianae to Makaha. 11 citations were issued at the Waianae Boat Harbor of which 1 was for expired tax, 2 expired safety, 1 speeding, 1 no insurance, 1 DWOL, and 5 were arrested for contempt warrants. 4 citations were issued at Pokai Bay & Ala Poko of which 1 was for DWOL, 1 No insurance, 1 expired safety, and 1 expired tax. 1 speeding citation was issued at Laihoku & Lualualei Homestead Rd. 2 speeding were issued at Farrington Hwy. & Maililii Rd. 1 expired tax and safety citation was issued at Farrington Hwy & Kaukama Rd.
