Ask HPD: The use of wheel boots in parking lots


Q: Is it legal for a parking lot attendant to put a parking boot on my car?

A: It is unlawful for anyone to apply a wheel boot to a motor vehicle located on any public or private street, roadway, or highway or on any public or private property. Anyone violating this section can be fined $100.
