Wanted: Suspect in hit-and-run
UPDATE: We want to thank the public for their help in locating the vehicle responsible for a hit-and-run that happened on March 8, around 12:24 a.m. on Kamehameha Highway at Hekaha Street.
Officers got a tip and found the vehicle, a 1994 Ford Explorer parked on Waimano Home Road. There were damages on the vehicle consistent with the collision. The vehicle has been recovered as evidence. We are still looking for any witnesses regarding the collision.

March 8, 2014, at approximately 12:24 a.m.
The victim attempted to cross Kamehameha Highway at Hekaha Street when he was struck by an unknown driver who fled the scene of the accident. The suspect vehicle is possibly a 1993 through 1995 Ford Ranger or Explorer with
damage to the right front headlight assembly. The male was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
