Ask HPD: "For sale" signs on parked vehicles
Q. I see numerous vehicles all over town with "for sale" signs parked along city streets and at city parks. Is this an offense or illegal?
A. It is illegal to park a vehicle with a for sale sign on a city roadway with the intent to sell. The registered owner could be cited $35. So please, if you are selling your car, remember to remove the for sale sign before parking it on a city roadway.
