Ask HPD: Graffiti

01/29/2014

Do Oahu's police have a special unit which captures street taggers?

A. The HPD has crime reduction units that work on graffiti cases. Information is exchanged throughout the districts and monthly meetings are held to identify suspects. Help from the public is essential in battling graffiti. If you have information, call our Graffiti Hotline at (808) 723-3475. Someone is available Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Graffiti is an eyesore. The HPD holds clean ups at various locations with our community partners to paint over graffiti. If you'd like to help, contact a community policing team in your area. More information: www.honolulupd.org
