Chief's Message
The success of an organization is dependent on many factors. First and foremost is the caliber of the employees within the organization.
The Honolulu Police Department recognizes that quality employees are critical to our mission. We also know that the best technology and equipment are only as good as the men and women who are trained to use them. And that is why we continue to seek and recruit qualified personnel.
HPD employees come from a variety of backgrounds. What they share is a personal commitment and desire to make a positive contribution to our community. This commitment is reflected in the jobs done by sworn and civilian employees and is what being a member of the police ohana, or family, is all about.
I encourage you to explore the many career opportunities that the department has to offer. Each position has its own challenges and rewards, and one may be right for you.
