HPD Career Center
This is where Honolulu Police Department careers begin. The HPD Career Center addresses all facets of recruitment and promotions for the Department. The Career Center consists of both sworn and civilian personnel. It is here where interviews, polygraph examinations, and background investigations are conducted.
The Metropolitan Police Recruit is just one of several positions that the Career Center processes. Other options include Police Radio Dispatchers, Police Evidence Specialists, Criminalists, Clerk Typists, and more. The Career Center is located on the 5th floor of the Standard Financial Plaza, at the corner of South King Street and Cooke Street. Parking is available on the 1st floor for a fee. There is also metered street parking in the area.
The hours of operation are from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Career Center is closed on holidays.
