HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION
The Human Resources Division is responsible for the administration of all personnel matters within the Honolulu Police Department in conjunction with the City's Department of Human Resources. These responsibilities include:
- recruiting, screening, and hiring new employees;
- addressing labor relations issues;
- equal employment opportunity investigations; and
- coordinating the hepatitis and drug urinalysis screening programs.
In addition, the Human Resources Division coordinates the employment of off-duty police officers, "Special Duty," for various community functions and events.
