KEIKI SAFETY INFO FOR PARENTS

Parents should know that there is information available that can help you safeguard your children.  You must educate yourself so that you can educate your children.  And remember; don't only talk with your child about strangers.

Each year, a large majority of children are abducted by someone that the family knows and not by a stranger.  Safety awareness information for young children will be somewhat different from what is useful for older children.

It is important for families to talk about child safety.  Keep an open dialogue and take advantage of the many resources available from local law enforcement and the Internet that can provide information about how to keep your children safe.

Carefully evaluate the information available.  Some of the Internet sites offer tips that may not be practical for some children.  Teach your children how to recognize and avoid dangerous situations.

Remember, prevention is the key!

To protect your child, educate your child!
