The Honolulu Police Department is dedicated to the safety of our communities. From the elderly to our keiki, we strive to protect all from harm.
The information in this section is important to learn and understand. Discuss these safety tips with your family and friends. Teachers and parents have many other tips and rules for being safe. If you come across any bad situations be sure to tell your parents or an adult you trust.
Tips For Parents
Parents should know that there is information available that can help safeguard their children. Educate yourself so that you can educate your children. And remember; don't only talk with your child about strangers.
Children are taught to be polite and respectful to adults. Those that prey on our children take advantage of this by asking for directions or for help, such as finding a lost pet. Teach your keiki that it's ok to say no to strangers, even if they are adults.
